Christian Counseling

Christian Counseling in Florida

For many people, faith isn't separate from their mental health, it's woven through how they understand themselves, their struggles, and their hope for healing. If you've ever wished you could bring that part of your life into the therapy room, Christian counseling offers exactly that.

At Replenish and Renew Counseling, I provide faith-based telehealth counseling to clients across Florida. As a licensed mental health counselor and a member of the South Florida Association of Christian Counselors, I integrate clinical, evidence-based therapy with your Christian faith, when and how you want that to be part of the work.

What Christian counseling is (and isn't)

Christian counseling isn't a replacement for real clinical care, and it isn't a substitute for your relationship with your church or pastor. It's professional therapy, delivered by a licensed clinician, that also honors your faith as a source of meaning and strength.

In practice, that can mean:

  • Exploring how your faith shapes the way you understand your struggles

  • Drawing on Scripture and prayer in session when you'd find that meaningful

  • Working through guilt, shame, or doubt in a way that respects your beliefs

  • Addressing anxiety, depression, life transitions, or relationship challenges within a framework that makes sense to you

It always remains a judgment-free, collaborative process. Faith is integrated at your pace and your comfort level, never imposed.

The clinical foundation underneath the faith

Faith integration doesn't mean setting aside proven methods. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), the same evidence-based approaches that work for clients of any background, alongside the spiritual dimension. You get both: sound clinical care and a therapist who understands why your faith matters.

Who I work with

I see individuals and couples, including adolescents and adults ages 14 and up, for concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, codependency, life transitions, and marital or premarital counseling. Sessions are entirely telehealth, so you can meet from anywhere in Florida.

I accept Aetna, Cigna, Evernorth, Oscar, and United Healthcare, with out-of-pocket and sliding-scale options available.
